Delete your Unit Control account

You can delete your account right away in the app, or request deletion by e-mail.

In the app (immediately)

  1. Sign in to Unit Control (the phone app or app.unitcontrol.app in a browser).
  2. Open “Settings” → the “🗂 My data” card.
  3. Tap “Delete account…”, enter your password in “Password to confirm” and tap “Delete”.
  4. The account is deleted immediately and you are signed out on all devices.

Before deleting you can tap “⬇️ Download my data”. If you are a company owner, transfer ownership to another person first — otherwise the app won't let you delete the account.

By e-mail

No access to the app? Write to hello@unitcontrol.app from the e-mail address the account is registered with, with the subject “Account deletion”. We will reply and complete the request within 30 days. If your data was entered by your employer, we will forward the request to them.

What is deleted

  • first and last name, e-mail, phone, date of birth, country and job title in the profile — erased; the name becomes “Deleted user”;
  • password and two-step verification, all sign-in sessions;
  • company memberships and roles, sign-in devices, push notification addresses, notifications, personal settings.

What is kept and for how long

  • Records of the company you worked for (reports, write-offs, timesheet, personnel file, etc.) stay with that company — it manages them under its own retention periods (contract, employment law); the author is shown as “Deleted user”. Ask your employer to delete them.
  • Company data is kept while its subscription is active and for 30 days after it ends, then deleted.
  • Payment documents — as long as tax law requires.
  • The action log (who changed what), sign-in IP addresses and website requests are deleted automatically after 12 months; certain log entries needed as proof (payments, payroll payouts, document approvals, the account deletion record itself) are kept longer.
  • Backups — about 7 days on the server, up to 90 days at the hosting provider after deletion.
  • AI daily summary texts and AI assistant conversations — up to 90 days.
